Itinerary "Araca Fly-In Safari Camp"
"Araca Fly-In Safari Camp"
Your Flight Choices
TAM Airlines or American Airlines
Airport codes: Miami, Florida (MIA)-Manaus Brazil (MAO)
Important Note When choosing your Airlines:
- We ask that you try to have everyone in the group travel on the same airline so we may transport everyone at once to the hotel upon arriving/departing.
- If you are changing airlines in Miami on your way to Brazil, please “recheck your luggage” to make “sure” it gets on the correct carriers plane. It is not a good idea to “assume” the previous carrier forwarded them on to your destination carrier.

TAM AIRLINES: Our trips are based around the TAM Airline schedule with a “direct” flight from Miami, Florida. This includes airport pickups and drop-offs which are included in your trip package. It is always best to try and stay with our prepared schedule.
We are always very happy to accommodate each and every traveler with their requests and strive to meet all needs. Our staff are always very busy with the regular itinerary arrivals, hotel check-ins and a variety of other things to get our everyone settled in and ready for the following day’s trip to the yacht and the beginning of an action-packed 6 ½ days fishing for the coming week. *Therefore, should your travel plans differ from the majority of your groups’ airline choice, arriving and departing from Brazil, please be prepared to arrange your own transport from the airport to the hotel upon arrival, and back to the airport on your day of departure. We provide (1) commercial airport transport pickup/drop off and provide all other transports for specific logistics of our fishing trip. For your pleasure, you may also want to arrange a hotel, or activities such as sight-seeing, during the free time you will have awaiting our departure flight home. We can recommend an English-speaking tour guide service to assist you with sightseeing or accompany you to various restaurants.
AA- American Airlines: American now has a direct flight, as well out of Miami, Florida around 5 p.m. arriving Manaus, Brazil “same day” shortly before midnight. Booking your flight all the way through from your home city through Miami onward to Manaus Brazil all in one day most times is very cost effective. This removes the need for a hotel stay in Miami on the front and back end of your trip. However, it does promote a hotel stay (for the free day waiting on your late night flight) in Manaus after fishing. You will not overnight there – only for daytime use.
Keep in mind, that after your arrival into Manaus, your trip package includes your first night’s hotel, and following your complimentary breakfast, we will transport you to our float plane leaving out of Manaus around 7-8 a.m. the following morning towards your fishing destination.
Also, keep in mind, if you are flying American Airlines, that after returning from fishing the following week on Tuesday, we will transport you back to the hotel in Manaus, or otherwise, whatever you or your group so decides. You will have some personal free time while waiting for your “late check in” at approximately 9:30 p.m, for your departure flight home, wherein your flight leaves right after midnight making it the following day. This will be a terrific time to either get a hotel room to store your luggage, rest, relax and enjoy the pools or nearby attractions, or just hanging around Manaus to do some sightseeing i.e. Opera House, restaurants, zoo, shopping, fish market, etc. Again, if you so desire, we would be happy to schedule an English-speaking Tour Guide/Transport for your free afternoon/evening.
Should you wish, and for your convenience, we have travel affiliates in place that are very familiar with our program and can put everything in place for you in booking your airlines. Feel free to contact our office 1.800.398.5837 for more information.
Again, when you travel with Amazon River Adventures’, you will be taken care of from the moment you land - until the moment you depart. Once you land, no need to worry about a thing…..just leave it to us to take care of everything you need for a fun-filled and exciting week of Peacock Bass Fishing.
SO - Get your bags packed, airlines booked, your passport/Brazilian visa, and camera ready – we are excited to meet you and are awaiting your arrival. We will be looking for you as you clear the Customs’ Gate, collect your luggage and exit through the side door. Our representative will be standing at the railing there as your come through the automatic sliding glass doorway. Our staff member will be holding a sign and be sporting apparel with our company name “Amazon River Adventures”. We will have everything waiting and ready for you, will help you with your luggage at every turn, air-conditioned transport vehicles will be ready to go, pre-registration is prepared for you at the beautiful resort hotel, and we will present you with your keys ahead of time. Instructions will be given from there. It doesn’t get any simpler than that!
IMPORTANT: *Please make sure that you leave a significant connection time (preferably minimum of 4 hours) between your Miami arrival and departure onward to Brazil in case your plane into Miami is late arriving. This decreases undue stress on you, the traveler.
